Periscope has introduced three new features aiming at improving broadcast discovery on its platform. The poplar live streaming app from Twitter is getting replay highlights, ability to embed tweets and autoplay in latest update.

Firstly Periscope is getting replay highlights which as the name suggests will allow you to watch short trailers of broadcasts that you missed in real-time. The feature automatically generates a short trailer for every broadcast. You can watch highlights of your home feed to catch up on broadcasts you missed along with highlights of somebody’s profile of their previous broadcasts, or highlights of any search results. In order to watch previews from your home feed, you will have to tap on “Play Highlights” above the recent videos section.

In addition, users will be able to embed Periscopes anywhere on the web by simply embedding the Tweet. Moreover, the update adds ability to find tweets with Periscope livestreams. You will have search for‘#Periscope’ (along with other keywords) on Twitter which will show a list of streams ready to be embedded.

Periscope on Android gets a new autoplay feature to the Watch Tab and Global Feed. Now, when scrolling through either section of the app, each broadcast will start playing automatically as you scroll through your feed. Replay highlights will be be available on iOS and Android in the next few days, while autoplay will be available on Android first with iOS coming soon.
