Lenovo sends invites for September 8th event, second generation Moto 360 expected


After a number of leaks and rumors, we finally have know when Motorola will launch its new Moto 360. Lenovo has issued invites for an even on September 8th where it is expected to make the second generation Moto 360 official.

The invite teases the new Moto 360 which has a physical button that is shifted to 2’o clock position. Along with the watch the slogan on the invite reads ‘It’s time’ and the September 8th and the venue is Shanghai. Reports and leaks over the past few weeks have stated that the Moto 360 will be launched in two different sizes – Moto 360 L and Moto 360 S. The Moto 360 S will feature a 1.37-inch display and have a 270mAh battery with a dial size of 38mm and strap size of 20mm, while the Moto 360 L will lightly larger 1.55-inch display with a 375mAh battery, 46mm dial and a 22mm strap.

Both the models are expected to come in two different case colors and bands and will boast a slimmer body than the original Moto 360 and come with “flat tire” design. Along with the next gen Moto 360, Motorola is also expected to announce the Moto 360 Sport that will be available in black, white and orange and it is said to be arrive in November. A fresh leak today suggested that the watch will feature Hybrid Display optimized for outdoor use, 3ATM Water Resistance, GPS and Barometer.
