Sprint has begun the roll-out of Android Lollipop 5.1.1 for the LG G Flex 2 devices on its network. The update was made live as an OTA update for users yesterday. The update changes the version number from LS996ZV5 to LS996ZV6.

Sprint hasn’t released a detailed changelog yet but does mention the addition of Factory Reset Protection as a feature. It should bring about quite a few performance improvements and bug fixes as well. We will let you know of the other changes as soon as they release more information regarding it.

While the OTA update has begun rolling out across LG G Flex 2’s on Sprint, it still could take a day or two to reach your device itself. The update also makes the G Flex 2 one of the first non-Nexus devices to get the update to 5.1.1 and should mean that other G Flex 2 versions over the world should be receiving the update soon as well.
