Viber has just released its calling and messaging app for Chrome OS. Google is trying hard to push its Chrome OS and it is getting a lot of support from hardware manufacturers and now software companies too.

Recently, Xolo and Nexian Air Chromebooks were launched in India. But they also need support from software developers and the addition of Viber on Chrome OS will help add to that cause. Viber is quite a popular service and many people rely on it to keep in touch with their family and friends.

The app for Chrome OS has all the features that are supported on Windows Phone, iOS and Android platforms. Users can send free texts, photos, videos and make phone as well well as HD video calls to users all around the world. Viber claims that there are over 516 million registered users on Viber worldwide.
