Apple Watch receives its first software update – Adds new Emojis, languages and app improvements

Yesterday, we told you that Apple is working on a software update for the Apple Watch. Now, the first update for the Apple Watch, v1.0.1 has just gone live and it brings new Emojis, languages as well as app improvements.

The software version of the update is 1.0.1 and the update is 51.6MB in size. In order to install the update, you have to make sure that your Apple Watch is in close range to your iPhone, must have at least 50% charge and make sure that it is connected to a charger.

The new languages that have been added are as listed in the photo above. Apart from the languages, there are quite a few improvements in terms of performance as well. Siri gets an improvement in performance along with improvements in measuring workouts and fitness activities. Accessibility and the performance of third party apps have been improved as well.

We haven’t tried out the new update on our Apple Watch unit yet but we will keep you posted on our observations soon after we do so. In the time being we suggest you go and get the update for yourself and let us know what you think of it.
