Apple is reportedly working on TVKit, a new software development kit that will allow third-party developers to create apps for the Apple TV.  The report said that Apple’s set-top box will ship with Apple Watch support and the smartwatch will be positioned as “a primary input device” for the set-top box. The new Apple TV box is expected to debut in June at WWDC, with deep Siri integration and third-party app support.

In addition, the company is adding feature to Apple Watch OS like third-party “complications” which would, for example, allow users to see at a glance if they have unread Twitter mentions. The popular “Find My Watch” will also be reportedly work the same way as the “Find my iPhone”. Moving on, Apple is using a feature known internally as “Smart Leashing”, which may tap you on the wrist if you have left your phone behind, as well as establish a last-known location for your watch.

The Apple Watch is further set to offer better health and fitness features like new additions to the watch’s heart rate monitoring feature and new sensors that could track blood pressure, sleep cycles and blood oxygen levels. The company’s engineers are working on a new function for the heart rate monitor that would send alerts if the sensor detects an irregular heart beat, said the report.
