A few days ago, we showed you the leaked photo as well as press shots of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active. Although we had posted the specifications which said it had a Quad HD display, now we have a proper confirmation about its resolution.

According to a recent device profile that was leaked, the device SM-G890A is confirmed to be sporting a display with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. However the type of display still remains unconfirmed. Normally Samsung have a tradition of fitting the Active series with LCD displays while its counterparts had sported SuperAMOLED displays.

We aren’t sure if Samsung is planning to go down the same path with the S6 Active as well. The S6 Active will pack a much bigger 3500 mAH battery under the hood that should also give you much better battery life than the S6 and S6 Edge even if it is powered by an LCD screen that is known to be more battery hungry.

The S6 Active will have a rugged body that is waterproof and can withstand some bumps and falls. Apart from that most of the specifications remain same. You still get the same 16 Megapixel camera with OIS, 5 Megapixel front facing camera, 3GB of RAM and fingerprint sensor as well.
