The Mi Band is a small metal accessory that goes into the wrist band. It has three LED lights, but these are not visible if it’s not glowing. It has several set of sensors to measure your activity. It uses Bluetooth 4.0 LE to connect to your Android smartphones. Xiaomi says that it works only with Xiaomi smartphones running on Android 4.4 KitKat, such as Mi 3 and Mi 4. It doesn’t support Redmi 1S that runs on Android 4.2, but it paired and worked fine with other Android smartphones running on Android 4.4 and with Bluetooth 4.0 support.

It doesn’t come with a separate charger, so you have to use other USB chargers or simply connect the cable to your computer. It has 41mAh battery, which promises up to 30 days of battery life. It is not clear when the company plans to launch the Mi Band in India.
