OtterBox has introduced Defender Series and Commuter Series cases for the Galaxy S5. Both these cases would protect the Galaxy S5 from drops, bumps and scratches. The Defender Series has a built-in screen protector, polycarbonate mid-layer and synthetic rubber slip cover to offer durable protection from hard use and random accidents and the Commuter Series provides tough protection and comes in sleek form factor.
Since the Galaxy S5 already have IP67 ratings for dust and water resistance, adding the OtterBox case would let you turn it into a rugged smartphone. It also offers a wide range of Build Your Own color combinations to match your taste. All OtterBox cases allow for full device functionality and the Commuter Series, Commuter Series Wallet and Symmetry Series are compatible with Clearly Protected custom-cut screen protectors, says the company.
The Defender and Commuter series are priced at $59.90 and $39.90, respectively. OtterBox would also launch the Symmetry Series and Commuter Series Wallet Galaxy S5 cases soon priced at $39.95 and $44.95, respectively. The Symmetry Series has a single layer and dual-material design and the Commuter Series Wallet series would have a concealed space for three cards and a bill.
