Sony just teased the launch of Xperia XA Ultra smartphone in India on Monday, July 25th on its social channels. The teaser just says “Your perfect Selfie companion, with OIS” along with the image of the smartphone with large front camera with LED flash. It was announced in May, has a 21.5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, Hybrid Auto-Focus and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera that also has a LED flash and OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) for capturing shake-free selfies. Sony has announced at its IR Day 2016 in Japan that it will defocus in several markets including China, India, US and Brazil where it expects its smartphone businesses to shrink. One of the main reasons is that it expects FY15-17 CAGR smartphone growth in India, China, Brazil, Indonesia to be just 0.3%, instead of increase in 8.1% that was estimated last year.

Following the end of the Sony Ericsson brand, Sony took a hiatus of almost a year before entering the market again under a solo name. Sony went all out with the Xperia Z and brought about a fresh new design language and high end specifications. Sony has confirmed that it is working on the next-generation PlayStation console, which is an upgraded version of the PlayStation 4. This was confirmed by Andrew House, president and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment in an interview with the Financial Times. Sony introduced USB flash drive in the USM-CA1 Series with USB Type-C and Type-A connectors earlier this year. Today it has launched the OTG drive in India. The USB Type-C reversible drive lets you connect it to smartphones, tablets, laptops and more. The drives also supports USB 3.1 Gen1, which allows for data transfer speeds (read) of upto 130MB/s. Sony has launched Xperia X and Xperia XA, the company’s latest smartphone in the new ‘X Series’ in India. Both these were announced at the MWC earlier this year. The Xperia X has a 5-inch 1080p screen, is powered by a Hexa-Core Snapdragon 650 SoC, has a fingerprint sensors on the power button and a 23-megapixel rear camera with Predictive Hybrid Autofocus that lets you choose your subject and then predicts its motion.

Sony Mobile has accidentally revealed the image of its upcoming Xperia E5 smartphone on its social media channels before pulling them down. This shows the smartphone in black and white colors and the phone is expected to feature a metal frame. It will also have NFC support. Sony F3311 already surfaced in GFXBench listing, confirming most of the specifications of the phone. It is also expected to come in dual SIM variant, Xperia E5 dual, similar to the Xperia E4 series.
