Sony Xperia 1 VII with Snapdragon 8 Elite, 12GB RAM surfaces in benchmarks

After the renders earlier this year, Sony Xperia 1 VII, the company’s flagship smartphone has surfaced on Geekbench with the model number XQ-FS54, revealing that it is the European version of the phone, as per GSMA IMEI database information.

This reveals Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, 12GB of RAM and Android 15 for the phone. It has a single-core score of 2967 and a multicore score of 9017.

The phone was certified by the US FCC recently, revealing dimensions of 162 x 74.5 x 8.5mm, which will make it slightly thicker. This also revealed 4850mAh minimum / 5000mAh typical battery for the phone, same as the predecessor.

Based on rumours, the 6.5-inch display size is said to remain the same, and the phone is said to pack a 48MP main camera with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, a 12MP periscope telephoto camera (70-200mm focal length) and a 12MP front camera.

The Sony Xperia 1 VII is said to be launched on May 15 starting at price of USD 1,399 (Rs. 1,18,380 approx.), and go on sale in Japan on the same day. The global roll-out is rumoured for July 2025.
