Here is the unboxing of the Xperia tipo, Sony’s first affordable smartphone running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It was announced in June along with the tipo dual, the Dual-SIM variant. It packs in a a 3.2-inch (480 x 320 pixels) 262k color TFT display and is powered by a 800 MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It has a 3.2 Megapixel auto focus camera at the back. It went on pre-order online in India last week, but we manged to get one from UK.
The box contents include a startup guide, leaflet about SIM card instructions, screen protector, Charger, Data cable, and a 1500 mAh battery. Since this was a UK retail unit, the headset is missing, but it would be available in the Indian retail unit.
This phone is pretty small and would fit in your pocket easily. Even though the back is made of plastic, it has a smooth rubbery feel. We will review the device soon. Lets us know if you have any questions about the phone in the comments below.
