Nokia 808 PureView launching in India mid-June

Chennai, India – Nokia has confirmed in the Nokia Strategy Summit today that they would launch the Nokia 808 PureView in the middle of June 2012. Nokia announced the Nokia 808 PureView at MWC 2012 and said it would launch in May 2012 starting from India and Russia, but it was delayed.

The Nokia 808 PureView is first smartphone to feature Nokia’s award-winning PureView technology with exclusive Carl Zeiss optics and amazing imaging algorithms. It features a large, high-resolution 41 megapixel sensor with high-performance Carl Zeiss optics and new pixel oversampling technology.

It also includes Nokia Rich Recording for CD-like audio quality, full HD 1080p video recording and playback. It also features exclusive Dolby Headphone technology and Dolby Digital Plus for 5.1 channel surround sound playback.
