LG and Capcom brings Street Fighter IV HD to Android, launches LG Cup Global Championship

LG has already announced that they would team up with Capcom to bring Street Fighter IV HD to LG android smartphone. This game is now available from the exclusively at LG SmartWorld application market place on the LG Nitro HD in the US and the LG Optimus LTE in Japan and Korea. These phones have True HD IPS display that would make the game play more interesting.

The have also announced a LG Cup STREET FIGHTER IV HD Global Championship. The registrations began on the official site from December 21, and the 3-week preliminary rounds will be live webcasted and broadcasted over cable after the quarterfinals. Participants can stand a chance to win up to US$ 17,500 in prize money.

The final will be held in February, and the exhibition matches of world-renowned professional gamers will also take place during the event. Participants can choose to enter the Android version running on LG Optimus LTE in full HD or on the console (XBOX 360).
