Huawei has announced that MediaPad tablets would ship with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). They claim that this is the world’s first tablet to come pre-loaded with the new Android 4.0. They launched the MediaPad last June as the first Android 3.2 tablet. They have also launched new MediaPad Color Series that would run on Android 3.2 (Honeycomb).

The features are same as the previous version such as 7-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) display with 217 PPI and 1080P Full HD video playback, Qualcomm dual-core 1.2 GHz processor. The MediaPad Color Series would be available in Shadow black, Passion pink and Classic brown colors.

Huawei’s new MediaPad color series and the MediaPad with Android 4.0 will be available in selected markets in the first quarter of 2012. Existing MediaPad users would receive an OTA Android 4.0 upgrade by the first quarter of 2012.
