Nokia has released the list of popular Symbian apps in the OVI store in India. These apps are based on the popularity such as download, rating etc. among the users in India. These apps are of different categories like Entertainment, Social, Communication and Games.

List of Top Symbian Apps in the OVI store

  • TuneWiki – Lyrics with Music (Symbian S60 v5 and Symbian^3) : TuneWiki’s social media player shows subtitled lyrics as you listen to your music, watch music videos, or stream songs through SHOUTcast  radio feature. This is available in 40+ languages and has lyrics for 2.5 Million songs.
  • LinkedIn (Symbian^3): This app lets you to view and send status updates, send and receive messages from the connections, respond or send invitations and browse other’s profiles.
  • Foursquare for Symbian (Symbian S60 v3, v5 and Symbian ^3): This app helps you find new ways to explore the world around you. See where your friends are, learn about the places they frequent, keep track of all the things you want to do.
  • WhatsApp Messenger (Symbian S60 v3, v5 and Symbian ^3): You can use this to send messages to other WhatsApp users and forget caring about SMS charges.
  • Fruit Ninja (Symbian^3) : Popular game that lets you smash the fruits just by swiping across the screen.
  • Angry Birds (Symbian^3) : Kill the pigs by attacking them. There are 15 unique levels to challenge your skills.

    I liked Phone Warrior (S60 v3) also, think they should be in this list. It’s a free sms spam blocking application specifically for India. Most of the spam filters require you to specify rules or block certain numbers, this one automatically infers rules without any configuration.
