Honor 10 gets Party Mode, EIS and more via OTA update in India


Huawei’s Honor brand launched its flagship Honor 10 smartphone in India last month running Android 8.1 (Oreo) with EMUI 8.1 on top. Now it has rolled out a new update that brings several new features including party mode feature that lets you connect several phones to play the same song simultaneously, HiTouch that lets you quickly identify objects by scanning them, Paytm entergration, and most expected EIS feature for videos.

The Honor 10 update (COL-AL10 8.1.0.120) is 828MB in size and has Android security update for May 2018 as well as improvements and bug fixes. Check out the complete changelog below.

New software upgrade is available for your device. This will upgrade your system to COL-AL10 8.1.0.120(C675CUSTC675D2).

[New APK]

  • Preloaded HonorClub APK, an official community forum for all Honor Fans. Activities like Fans recruitment, new product promotions will be updated here. Any questions about Honor products will get answered.

[PartyMode Feature]

  • Preloaded Party Mode feature. User can connect several phones to play the same song simultaneously at parties, producing a multi-channel sound effect for a supreme audio experience.

[HiTouch Feature]

  • Launch camera and click on eye option. Hold two fingers on the screen. HiTouch will quickly identify products displayed on the screen using Amazon Assistant.

[Paytm Feature]

  • Can enroll paytm fingerprint, with this fingerprint user can launch the paytm payment screen when the screen is locked or off.

[EIS Feature]

  • Enabled EIS, an image enhancement technique which minimizes blurring and compensates for device shake while capturing video.

[Google Security Patches]

  • Google security patches are merged to make your device more secure.
