Samsung Gear S2 and Gear S2 Classic launched in India for Rs. 24300 and Rs. 25800

Samsung has launched its Gear S2 range of smartwatches – Gear S2 and Gear S2 Classic in India, as expected. These have a 1.2-inch ( 360×360 pixels) Circular Super AMOLED displays, rotating bezel and run on Tizen based wearable platform. These also have Home and Back buttons to access notifications and applications easily.

The Gear S2 has a silicone band offering a minimal and modern design and the Gear S2 classic has a Black finish with a matching genuine leather band for a premium look. These have IP67 certification for dust and water resistance, connects to the devices using Bluetooth 4.1 LE and have NFC support for mobile payments

The Samsung Gear S2 comes in Dark Grey color with Silver case and sporty band and Gear S2 classic comes with Black case with leather band, and are priced at Rs. 24,300 and Rs. 25,800, respectively. These smartwatches will be available from Samsung retail channels and exclusively from Flipkart online starting today. Several band options for the smartwatches will be available separately. Samsung said that the Gear S2 has been developed in partnership with Samsung’s R&D Center, Samsung Research Institute (Bangalore) as well as Indian third party partners.

Samsung said that the latest 18K Rose Gold and Titanium variants that was introduced at the CES will be launched by the end of February.
