Amazon has announced a range of new devices in the Echo family, namely the Echo Show 8, Echo Show 5 and the Echo Show 5 Kids. The Echo Show 8 features a 8-inch adaptive colour display, while the Echo Show 5 features a 5.5-inch display, and they all feature improved cameras for video calling.

Amazon has launched miniTV, the company’s free, ad-supported video streaming service in India. Amazon said that the miniTV is completely free, and it does not require a separate app. Flipkart launched a similar service called Flipkart video back in 2019. The service offers professionally created and curated content across web-series, comedy shows, tech news, food, beauty, fashion and more. It is a cube-shaped media streaming box that supports 4K streaming at 60fps, runs Fire TV OS with integrated Alexa voice assistant and comes with multi-directional infrared technology to control other home appliances.
Amazon has unveiled the 2nd generation of Echo Buds, which is their truly wireless earbuds offering. They feature a 20% smaller design, built-in vents for ear comfort, custom-designed Active Noise cancellation technology, improved microphones, wireless charging capabilities and more.

Amazon Prime Video has launched Prime Video Mobile Edition, a new single-user, mobile-only plan at an introductory price of Rs. 89 per month first time in India. The plan provides SD quality streaming through the Prime Video app on Android or iOS, which the company says is created especially for a mobile-first country like India. Amazon has announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire podcast publisher Wondery, and will soon feature their podcasts directly on the Amazon Music app. Wondery podcasts will continue to be available on other platforms, however when streaming from Amazon Music, it will come with a few benefits.
Amazon has begun rolling out a new and pretty big update to their Fire TV software, bringing a redesigned interface and loads of new features such as Find destination, user Profiles along with new voice commands for the Alexa voice-assistant.
