Acer has expanded its Iconia tablet portfolio in India with the introduction of two new 5G-capable devices: the Acer Iconia Tab 11 5G and the Acer Iconia Tab 12 5G. Positioned for hybrid use across productivity, education, and multimedia, both models feature high-refresh-rate displays, MediaTek processors, expandable connectivity, and accessory support.
Display and Design
The smaller of the two, the Iconia Tab 11 5G, is equipped with a 10.95-inch Full HD IPS screen delivering a resolution of 1920 × 1200, a 90Hz refresh rate, and up to 450 nits of peak brightness. The device measures 261.74 × 177.68 × 7.95 mm, prioritizing a balance between screen area and portability.
The Iconia Tab 12 5G targets users seeking a larger workspace with a 12.2-inch fully laminated IPS panel. It features a resolution of 2400 × 1600, a matching 90Hz refresh rate, and up to 400 nits of brightness.
Hardware, Battery, and Connectivity
Both tablets run on the MediaTek MT8755 octa-core platform, which integrates two Cortex-A76 performance cores running at 2.4GHz alongside six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores at 2.0GHz. The chipset is paired with 8GB of RAM and internal storage options of either 128GB or 256GB.
- Network & Wireless: 5G cellular support, dual-band Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.2.
- Ports & Expansion: USB Type-C port, a microSD card slot for expandable storage, and a SIM + hybrid SIM setup.
- Security: Integrated fingerprint recognition for biometric authentication.
- Battery: The Iconia Tab 12 5G is fitted with a 10,000mAh battery and the Iconia Tab 11 5G has a 7400mAh battery, both supporting 18W (9V/2A) charging.
Cameras and Accessories
For video conferencing and front-facing capture, both devices include an 8MP sensor. Rear camera configurations differ slightly:
- Iconia Tab 11 5G: Single 13MP rear camera.
- Iconia Tab 12 5G: Dual rear setup comprising a 16MP primary sensor and a 2MP macro lens.
Both models support optional accessories, including a stylus and a keyboard flip cover with integrated docking capabilities, allowing the tablets to function in a notebook-style setup.
