OnePlus N6x to launch in India on July 31st

OnePlus has announced the upcoming launch of its latest budget-focused smartphone, the OnePlus N6x, scheduled to debut in India on July 31, at 12 PM IST. Expanding the company’s entry-level N-series lineup, the N6x is set to be sold exclusively via Amazon India and the official OnePlus store.

Design and Aesthetics

Teasers released by the company show a flat rear panel with a textured finish, flat sides, and two distinct color offerings: Burgundy Red and Ice Blue.

Key physical elements revealed include:

  • Camera Module: A slim, pill-shaped rear camera housing positioned at the top left.
  • Audio: A 3.5mm headphone jack on the top edge—a feature increasingly rare in modern smartphones.
  • Controls: Power and volume buttons situated along the right side of the frame.
Battery and Endurance Capabilities

OnePlus has confirmed that a major focal point of the N6x is its battery performance, fitting the device with a 7,000 mAh battery. According to internal OnePlus Test Lab figures, the company claims the device can deliver up to 2.5 days of battery life on a single charge under standard conditions.

Official lab benchmarks for a single full charge include:

  • Music Playback: Up to 133.56 hours
  • Social Media Scrolling: Up to 25.04 hours
  • Video Playback: Up to 20.56 hours
  • Video Recording: Up to 11.26 hours
Market Positioning and Expected Pricing

The N6x marks the second entry in OnePlus’s N-series, following the release of the OnePlus N6. Positioned beneath the core Nord series, the “x” designation generally signifies a slightly scaled-down variant within the sub-brand lineup.

The phone is expected to be priced under Rs. 20,000, competing directly against entry-to-mid-range offerings from competitors such as Redmi, realme, and iQOO. We should know more details in the coming days before the launch next week.
