Kia India has launched the Kia Syros EV, its second made-in-India mass-market electric vehicle. The electric SUV is available with two battery pack options, EV-specific technologies, Level 2 ADAS, connected features, Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS), Assured Buyback programme, and a high-voltage battery warranty.
Kia Syros EV
The Kia Syros EV is offered with 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh Extended Range battery options. The 51.4 kWh variant delivers an ARAI-certified range of up to 526 km (MIDC Full), while the 42 kWh variant offers up to 443 km (MIDC Full) range.
The 51.4 kWh variant produces 171 PS power and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 8.1 seconds. Built on Kia’s reinforced K1 platform, the electric SUV uses a Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) battery with an IP67 rating and liquid-cooled thermal management system.
Battery and charging features
The Syros EV supports 100 kW DC fast charging, charging the battery from 10% to 80% in 39 minutes. It also gets a 10.8 kW onboard AC charging capacity and battery conditioning technology that optimises battery temperature during DC charging.

The Syros EV also supports Kia’s K-Charge ecosystem through the MyKia app and Kia India website. It includes an Integrated Route Planner, charging controls, and access to charging points from multiple operators.
Exterior design
The Kia Syros EV features Kia’s EV design elements, including a Digital Tiger Face, Ice Cube MFR LED headlamps, standard front LED fog lamps, Star Map LED daytime running lamps with integrated turn indicators, and Star Map LED tail lamps.

- 12.7 cm (5-inch) climate control interface
The cabin features include Kia Connect 2.0 with 95+ features, OTA software updates, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Harman Kardon premium 8-speaker sound system, smartphone wireless charger, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, 64-colour ambient lighting with LED footwell lamps, Smart Dashcam with dual cameras, multiple USB Type-C ports, a 100W front USB-C charger, and a 16-litre front trunk with a dedicated cover.
For comfort, the Syros EV comes with:

Safety
The Kia Syros EV comes with Level 2 ADAS featuring 16 autonomous functions. The system includes Front Collision-Avoidance Assist for cars, pedestrians, cyclists, junction turning, and direct oncoming traffic, along with Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Lane Keeping Assist, and Lane Following Assist.
Driver assistance and safety features include:
- 360-degree camera
- Blind View Monitor in the instrument cluster
- Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist – Reverse (PCA-R)
- Front, rear, and side parking sensors

Ownership programmes and warranty
The Kia Syros EV is offered with Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS), which uses a dual-loan model where the chassis and battery are financed separately. Under this programme, ownership starts from Rs. 7.99 lakh, while the battery EMI is priced at Rs. 3.3 per km.
The high-voltage battery warranty includes:
- 15 years with unlimited kilometres for the first owner
- 8 years or 1,60,000 km, whichever comes earlier, for the second owner
The first-owner battery warranty is not applicable for commercial vehicles such as taxi or fleet vehicles.
The Syros EV also comes with an Assured Buyback programme offering up to 80% resale value after three years. Customers can select 3-year or 4-year ownership tenures with flexible annual mileage options and choose to retain, return, or replace the vehicle at the end of the selected term.
The introductory 80% assured buyback offer is available for customers purchasing the Syros EV within 60 days of launch. The programme will continue afterwards with revised terms.
Kia is also introducing My Convenience e-Plus, combining maintenance, extended warranty, and roadside assistance. It is available in two packages:
- 4-year Premium package
- 5-year Luxury package with extended roadside assistance coverage during the fourth and fifth years
For charging support, Kia’s K-Charge platform integrates more than 20,300 charging points from 23 Charge Point Operators through the MyKia app and Kia India website. The platform allows users to find charging points, navigate locations, and make payments through a unified wallet.
The EV support network includes:
- 129+ Kia dealerships with high-capacity DC fast chargers
- 275+ EV-ready workshops
- 900+ customer touchpoints across 400 cities
Pricing and availability
The Kia Syros EV is available in seven trims across two battery pack options.
Exterior colour options include Glacier White Pearl, Frost Blue, Gravity Grey, Pewter Olive, Magma Red, Ivory Silver Matte, Ivory Silver Gloss, Aurora Black Pearl, and Xclusive Matte Graphite. The X-Line ER variant is available with Xclusive Matte Graphite and Aurora Black Pearl colour options.
