Display, Hardware and Design

The Infinix NOTE 60 Pro sports a 6.78-inch (2644 × 1208  pixels) 1.5K 20:9 aspect ratio AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate. The screen has up to 4500 nits peak brightness. The colour output good as well since it has 1.07 billion colors.

You can select Smart Switch or force it to 60 Hz or 144 Hz. The 144Hz refresh rate offers a smooth user experience, especially when you are scrolling through the UI and when gaming. You can select from Original (default) and Bright color styles.

There is 2304Hz PWM Dimming that is automatically activated when you are using the phone in low brightness. You also find sleep aid mode and eye care mode in the display settings.

The phone has a 13MP front camera inside the punch-hole. There is an earpiece on the top edge that doubles up as a secondary speaker. You can see the narrow bottom bezel. The haptic feedback is good.

Coming to the button placements and ports, the power button is present on the right side along with the volume rockers. You can also see the One-Tap Button on the side that integrates sensors to track heart rate, blood oxygen, and HRV (heart rate variability). The left side has the customizable side button, which can perform screen analysis, translation, and summarization.

The dual SIM slot, microphone, USB Type-C port, and speaker grill are on the bottom. The speaker vent, IR blaster, and the secondary microphone are on the top. You can also see the Sound by JBL branding. The phone features a premium 360° aerospace aluminum frame and elegantly contoured edges. It weighs just 199 grams, which is low even though it packs a 6500mAh battery. The weight distribution is good.

In addition to Solar Orange, the phone also comes in Mocha Brown and Deep Ocean Blue colors in India.  Durability features include Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection and an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.

Active Matrix Display

The Active Matrix Display has a matrix of 288 independent LEDs with customization and brightness control capabilities. It’s an LED panel built right into the camera module on the back of the phone. It stays invisible until activated, then instantly lights up to show smart notifications, animated pets, or mini-games. It enables at-a-glance information, versatile alerts, and moments of playful interaction.

Camera

  • 50MP rear camera with f/1.59 aperture
  • 8MP ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture
  • 13MP front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture

The camera UI is the same as other phones running XOS 16. It includes several features such as Portrait, Super Night, Dual Video, Vlog, Time-lapse, Panorama, Sky Shop, Pro, Documents, and more. Even though the phone has a 50MP rear camera, the final output is about 12.5MP in size after pixel binning, and the front camera output is 13MP.

Coming to the camera quality, the daylight shots are good, and it is recommended to enable the HDR option, which automatically switches on HDR according to the shot, so that the dynamic range is good. The camera can focus quickly. The portrait mode has good edge detection. The 8MP ultra-wide camera does a decent job. There is ultra-wide macro option, but the 2x macro with the main camera better since it offers better details.

Low-light images are decent, and the night mode is useful, thanks to the optimization. The 13MP front camera is decent in daylight, and the portrait is decent as well, but could have been better.

Check out some camera samples below

It can record videos at 4K resolution at up to 30 fps from the rear and the front cameras. There is also OIS support, which does a good job. The phone has portrait video recording at 1080p, 30 fps.

Software, UI, and Apps

Coming to the software, the phone runs on Android 16 with XOS 16 on top. It has the Android security patch for February 2026. The Infinix NOTE 60 Pro will get 3 major Android updates and 5 years of security updates, which is good.

XOS 16 introduces a refreshed interface inspired by layered light and spatial depth. The Glow Space design adds visual layering across screens, while redesigned system icons present a cleaner visual structure.

It features the “FOLAX” AI assistant, accessed via a customizable side button, which can perform screen analysis, translation, and summarization. There is AI Studio, AIGC – Wallpaper, text, and AI Memo. Other AI features include AI Writing, AI Suggestions, AI Note, AI Recording Summary, AI Call Assistant and Student AI tools.

Out of 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM, about 7.39GB is usable, out of which 3GB is free when the default apps are running in the background. There is an additional 8GB RAM expansion feature. Out of 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage, 100.81GB is free out of the box.

Since the phone has an IR blaster, it comes with an IR remote feature that you can use from the quick settings. Apart from the usual set of utility and Google apps, it comes preloaded with the Spotify, Facebook, and Instagram apps. These can be uninstalled.

Fingerprint sensor and Face unlock

The phone has an optical in-display fingerprint sensor which immediately unlocks the phone just by keeping your finger on the sensor. You can add up to 5 fingerprints. There are different animation styles that display when you unlock, which you can disable. The phone also has face unlock that can unlock the phone in seconds, but it is not as secure as fingerprint.

The customizable one-tap button on the side integrates sensors to track heart rate, blood oxygen, and HRV (heart rate variability). You will have to use My Health app to track it, and it takes about 30 seconds. It is a good addition, but I don’t know how many will use it.

Music and Multimedia

YouTube Music is the default music player, and there is Sound by JBL turning. There is no FM radio. Audio through the stereo speakers is decent, but could be better. Audio through the headphones is good.

This has Widevine L1 so that you can play HD content on Amazon Prime Video, Netflix and other streaming apps. It also supports HDR playback on YouTube, but this doesn’t work on Netflix.

Dual SIM and Connectivity

It has the usual set of connectivity features, such as 5G with several 5G bands, and supports Airtel and Jio 5G out of the box. There is also 5G CA, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ax (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.4, GPS + GLONASS, and it also comes with NFC. It also has USB OTG support, and it has USB 2.0. We did not face any call drops, and the earpiece volume is good. It uses the company’s own dialer, and there is call recording.

The Infinix NOTE 60 Pro’s body SAR is 1.300 W/kg, and the head SAR is 1.090 W/kg, which is way under the limit in India, which is 1.6 W/kg (over 1 g).

Performance and Benchmarks

The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 Mobile Platform. This has 1 x 2.7 GHz ARM Cortex-A720 prime core, 3 x A720 performance cores at up to 2.4 GHz, and 4 x Cortex-A520 efficiency cores at up to 1.8 GHz.

There is Adreno 810 GPU offers good gaming performance. The phone has 4758mm² 3D VC Chamber Cooling featuring a 0.36 mm copper sheet that directs heat from the chipset to the vapor chamber, reducing temperature by up to 3 °C during intense gaming for stable, sustained performance, says the company.  There is a 360° gaming antenna for a 30% signal boost.

It offers 120 FPS gameplay in Call of Duty: Mobile. It can handle graphic-intensive games like Genshin Impact, but not at max graphics. In BGMI, HDR and Extreme work.

In 3D Mark wild life stress test, it scored 99.5%, which is good. The temperature increased from 29 to 39 degrees, which is decent. That said, check out some synthetic benchmark scores below.

Battery life

Coming to the battery life, the phone packs a 6500mAh (typical) battery, which is good. It can easily last for over a day with heavy use, thanks to the optimization. I got about 7 hours of screen-on time with 2 days of use, mostly on Wi-Fi, and occasional 5G use with a smart refresh rate.

Since the phone has support for 90W fast charging, it can charge up to 50% in about 30 minutes and up to 100% in about 50 minutes in hyper mode. There is reverse-wired charging and bypass charging as well when gaming, so the charging current bypasses the battery to go straight to the motherboard, so it doesn’t affect the battery. There is also 30W wireless charging support that you rarely see in phones in the price range.

Infinix claims the battery utilizes a “self-repairing” system that uses dynamic recrystallization to maintain battery health. The company states the battery can retain over 80% of its capacity after 2,000 charge cycles, roughly equating to six years of typical usage.

Conclusion

The Infinix NOTE 60 Pro is a fascinating evolution for the brand, signaling its intent to dominate the upper-midrange segment by offering features typically reserved for top-end “Pro” models. It’s rare to see a device manage the “impossible trinity” of smartphone design: a massive 6500mAh battery, a sub-7.5mm ultra-slim profile, and 30W wireless charging.

While the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 provides a snappy, AI-forward experience, and the Active Matrix Display adds a touch of futuristic flair, the phone does have a few compromises in the camera and durability departments to keep the price competitive.

If you want a sleek, futuristic-looking device that lasts two days on a single charge and doesn’t skimp on display quality, the Infinix NOTE 60 Pro is one of the most balanced and stylish options in the sub-Rs. 35,000 segment.

Pricing and availability

The Infinix NOTE 60 Pro is priced at Rs. 31,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model, and the 8GB + 256GB model costs Rs. 34,999. It is available from Flipkart and the Infinix India online store with launch offers.

Alternatives

The motorola edge 70 fusion has the same chip, and slightly bigger battery. The latest Nothing Phone (4a) is also a good alternative with the same chip offering a better camera set up, but has a slight smaller battery.

Pros

  • 144Hz 1.5K AMOLED display is good
  • Smooth performance
  • Good build quality
  • XOS 16 is packed with several features and AI features
  • Good battery life with 90W fast charging, 30W fast wireless charging

Cons

  • IP64 rating is a bit low for this price tier
  • Average front camera
  • UFS 2.2 storage feels slightly dated
