Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 Mobile Platform announced


Qualcomm has silently announced the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 Mobile Platform, the company’s latest 4nm mid-range SoC, as the successor to the popular Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC, with a minor upgrade to prime core clock speed which has increased from 2.5GHz to 2.7GHz.

The Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 promises 7% improved CPU and GPU performance, compared to the predecessor, has support for WFHD+ 144Hz HDR10+ displays.  It still has support for a broad range of LLMs, and LVMs, including Llama 1B, Qwen 1B, and more.

The 7s Gen 4 retains 12-bit triple ISP, comes with support for up to 4K HDR recording, integrates Snapdragon 5G Modem-RF System, 5G Dual-SIM Dual-Active (DSDA) enables simultaneous use of two 5G+5G or 5G+4G SIM cards for ultimate user flexibility, and has Qualcomm FastConnect Mobile Connectivity System for Bluetooth 5.4, and Wi-Fi 6E.

Availability

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 will be initially adopted by Xiaomi, with the first device to be the REDMI Note 15 Pro+ that is all set to be unveiled in China tomorrow.
