motorola launched the g57 Power, a new smartphone in the g power series, in India last week. This is a slightly toned down version of the g67 Power that was launched recently retaining the display, battery and the design, but this has a different SoC, front camera, but runs Android 16 out of the box. Is it worth the price? Let us dive into the review to find out.

Display, Hardware and Design
Starting with the display, the moto g57 Power gets a 6.7-inch Full HD+ 120Hz LCD screen with a pixel resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, 20:9 aspect ratio and a pixel density of about 391 PPI. The display is bright, since it has up to 1050 nits peak brightness, and the sunlight legibility is good as well, but sometimes you will have to adjust the brightness manually. The colours are vibrant as well.
The phone has 30 to 120Hz variable refresh rate. It doesn’t have HDR support. Under the display options there are different options to adjust colours from Natural, and Saturated. The screen to body ratio is 85.97%. There is Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection for the display.
The phone has a punch-hole screen that houses an 8-megapixel camera. It comes with peek display option that lets you see interactive notifications and quick information while the screen is off, but it doesn’t act as always on display present in AMOLED phones. It has a slightly thicker bottom bezel, which is fine in the price range.
In terms of placements, the power button, which integrates a fingerprint scanner, is present on the right side along with the volume rockers. The Dual SIM slot is present on the left side. The 3.5mm audio jack, primary microphone, USB Type-C port and the loudspeaker grill are present on the bottom. The secondary microphone is present on the top and has Dolby Atmos branding.
The phone is 8.6mm thick and is a bit heavy at 210 grams, since it packs a 7000mAh battery, but the weight distribution is good. The phone comes with military-grade durability with MIL-810H standard certification and also has IP64 ratings for dust and water resistance. All the models feature a vegan leather finish.
In addition to Regatta colour that we have, it also comes in PANTONE-Corsair and PANTONE Fluidity colours. The light colour gets dirty easily, so it is recommended to use the case.
Camera

The camera UI is familiar with most Motorola smartphones that include a quick toggles between main camera and macro camera on the bottom, quick toggles for flash, timer, aspect ratio, and more.
Other camera features include Night Vision, Portrait, Spot Colour, Panorama, Scan, Dual Capture, Slow motion, Time lapse, Spot Colour and Dual capture. Switching between the cameras is slow, and the shutter speed is decent.
Coming to the image quality, daylight shots came out well with good dynamic range, thanks to Quad Pixel technology that gives you get 12.5MP output. HDR shots are better with improved dynamic range, and it is recommended to enable auto HDR.
The 8MP ultra-wide is good, but I couldn’t find a macro option for the ultra-wide camera that is present in most moto phones. The edge detection in portrait shots is good as well. The 8MP front camera is decent in daylight, but not impressive when it comes to low-light. For the price, the camera performance is good, but the processing could have been better.

The g57 Power offers 2K video recording at 30 fps from front and rear cameras. There is also 1080p 60fps recording option for the main camera. There is slow motion 120 fps at 720p resolution. Video quality is good enough and the stabilization is decent.
Software, UI and Apps
Coming to the software, the phone runs on Android 16 with October 2025 security patch, making it the first moto phones to run Android 16 out of the box. On the top of Android 15, it has Hello UI, which is stock with added moto features. The company has promised 1 OS update, and 3 years security updates for the phone, which is less. It could have offered at least 2 OS updates.
As usual, it is stock with added Moto features. There is nothing to mention regarding the software in specific, since it offers stock Android 15 experience with added features. There are gestures such as Quick capture, Fast flashlight, Three-finger screenshot, Sidebar, Double press power key, Press and hold power button.
Apart from the usual set of utility apps, Google apps, there are some apps such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Perplexity, Copilot, and PhonePe, but you can install them easily. It has 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, out of which 7.52GB of RAM is free. It also has a RAM booster option to add up to 16GB of virtual RAM, and the AI auto RAM boost option is enabled by default. Out of 128GB UFS 2.2 storage, 108.26 is usable. Since the phone doesn’t have an expansion slot, the company could have offered a 256GB option as well.
Fingerprint sensor
The phone has a fingerprint sensor on the side. It immediately unlocks the phone just by keeping your finger so that you don’t have to press it, and it is obviously faster than the in-display fingerprint scanner. You can add up to 5 fingerprints. You can also use the fingerprint for app local and payments in apps. The phone also has face unlock, but it is not as secure as fingerprint.
Music Player, FM Radio and Multimedia
YouTube Music is the default music player with usual audio effects and equalizer, which can also be directly accessed from Audio Effects shortcut app. It also has FM Radio with recording, and there is also an option to play FM through Bluetooth, in addition to wired headset and loudspeakers.
Audio through the stereo speaker is loud, compared to mono speakers that other phones in the range offer. It also has Dolby Atmos. Audio through earphones, is good as well.
It has Widevine L1 support, so you can play HD content on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and other streaming apps without any issues. It doesn’t have HDR support for YouTube or Netflix.
Dual SIM and Connectivity
It has the usual set of connectivity features such as 5G with 11 (n1/n2/n3/n5/n8/n28/n38/n40/n41/n77/n78) bands. Jio and Airtel 5G work out of the box, and also has 5G VoNR support. It also has dual 4G VoLTE, 4G carrier aggregation or 4G+, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4 + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1 and GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO and QZSS.
The phone also USB OTG support that lets you connect USB drives. Moving on, the call quality is good, and we did not face any call drops and the earpiece volume was loud. The stock Google SMS app and comes with stock dialer that has call recording, but it will either play a disclaimer that the call is being recorded or audio tone. It doesn’t have NFC support.
The moto g57 Power’s body SAR is 1.03W/Kg, and the head SAR is at 1.09W/Kg, well under the limit in India which is 1.6 W/kg (over 1 g). This is almost the same as the g67 Power.
Performance and Benchmarks
This is the first phone to be powered by Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 4nmMobile Platform. This has Octa-Core Qualcomm Kryo CPUs that has 4 x Cortex A78 core clocked at 2.4GHz and 4 x Cortex A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. There is Adreno 810 GPU that offers decent gaming performance. The phone gets a bit warm on intensive gaming.
We did not face any issues in the games like COD, BGMI, and it can also play Genshin Impact, but the temperature rises quickly. In 3D Mark wild life stress test, it scored 99.7% which is good. The temperature increased from 28 to 31 degrees, which is not much. That said, check out some synthetic benchmark scores below.
As you can see, the scores are almost similar to moto g67 Power powered by Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 since clock speed of the smaller core is the only difference in the CPU, and this has better GPU.
Battery life
Coming to the battery life, the phone packs a huge 7000mAh (typical) built-in silicon-carbon battery, one of the biggest in the price range. It lasts for a whole day even with heavy use with 5G enabled and multimedia use, and more than a day with average use. For me, it lasted for over 3 days offering over 7 hours of screen on time, mostly on Wi-Fi and occasionally on 5G, which is similar to the g67 Power.
The phone has support for 30W fast charging, and it took close to 2 hours to charge up to 100%, and 0 to 50% charge took about 45 minutes using the bundled 33W charger.
Conclusion
At a price tag of Rs. 14,999, the moto g57 Power is a feature-packed smartphone with a monster battery. It delivers on its primary promise of exceptional endurance, easily lasting multiple days for average users.
The 120Hz display and stereo speakers make it a capable multimedia device, and being one of the first phones in this segment to ship with Android 16 gives it a software advantage. The performance is reliable for daily tasks and casual gaming, though it does get warm under stress.
However, the device is not without its compromises. The 30W charging speed feels quite slow for such a massive, 7000mAh unit, requiring patience for a full top-up. The lack of a microSD card slot is notable with the single storage variant, and the front camera performance is average. If your priority is sheer battery life and a clean software experience on a budget, the g57 Power is a strong contender.
Alternatives
iQOO Z10x 5G is a good alternative in the similar price range. REDMI 15 with a similar 7000mAh battery is also a good alternative. At Rs. 1000 more, the moto g67 Power is also a good option if you need 4K video recording and a slightly better front camera.
Pricing and availability
The moto g57 Power 5G is priced at Rs. 14,999 for the single 8GB + 128GB model. It is available from Flipkart, motorola.in and offline stores. There is a Rs. 1,000 Bank Discount, so the effective price of Rs. 13,999.
