
OnePlus has officially announced that it will unveil its latest devices, the OnePlus 15R and the OnePlus Pad Go 2, at a live keynote event in Bengaluru, India, on December 17th. The event coincides with the company’s 12th anniversary celebrations and will be livestreamed globally.

Ahead of the launch, the technology brand released specific technical details regarding the camera, performance, and display specifications for both products.
OnePlus 15R Specifications

The OnePlus 15R is the latest addition to the brand’s performance-focused R Series. OnePlus has confirmed several key hardware features:
- Performance: The device utilizes a “triple-chip” architecture. It will be the first global device to feature the co-defined Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 mobile platform. This is supported by a proprietary G2 Wi-Fi chip for connectivity and a Touch Response Chip designed to reduce input latency.
- Display: The smartphone will feature a 1.5K AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. The panel offers a pixel density of 450 ppi and brightness levels ranging from a peak of 1800 nits down to 2 nits (or 1 nit with Reduce White Point enabled).
- Camera: The 15R incorporates the Detailmax Engine, utilizing computational photography algorithms similar to the standard OnePlus 15. Confirmed features include Ultra Clear Mode, Clear Burst, and the Clear Night Engine.
- Rugged Durability: In a significant upgrade for the series, the OnePlus 15R features what the brand calls “industry’s most complete IP ratings.” The device is rated IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K, indicating high resistance to dust, water immersion, and high-pressure water jets.
As usual, it will be sold on Amazon.in, in addition to OnePlus India store and offline stores after the launch.
OnePlus Pad Go 2 Features
Details regarding the brand’s new mid-range tablet, the OnePlus Pad Go 2, were also disclosed.

- Display: The tablet is equipped with a 12.1-inch (30.73 cm) 2.8K display. It features a pixel density of 284 ppi, peak brightness of 900 nits, and 98% DCI-P3 color coverage. It also supports Dolby Vision and has received TÜV Rheinland Smart Care 4.0 certification.
- Stylus Support: The visuals confirm support for the OnePlus Pad Go 2 Stylo, which offers 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity, aimed at users ranging from students taking notes to digital artists.
- Connectivity: A 5G variant has been confirmed, specifically for the model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage in Shadow Black, catering to users requiring on-the-go connectivity.Multitasking: The device runs Open Canvas software, designed for seamless multitasking with split-screen capabilities to maintain user focus.
It will be sold on Amazon.in, Flipkart, OnePlus India online store and offline retailers after the launch.
12th Anniversary Celebrations
In conjunction with the hardware announcements, OnePlus is marking its 12th anniversary. Founder Pete Lau released a letter to the community reflecting on the brand’s history and future focus.
The company also launched a new browser-based game, OnePlus Run 2.0, featuring the brand mascot, Una. High-scoring players have the opportunity to win the upcoming OnePlus 15R, OnePlus Pad Go 2, and OnePlus 15 devices.
Additionally, new “Celebrations Una” collectibles were revealed, featuring the mascot in Diwali-themed (Kurta Pyjama) and Christmas-themed (Scottish tartan) attire.
