After teasers, OPPO has confirmed the launch of OPPO K13 Turbo Series – K13 Turbo and K13 Turbo pro in India on August 11th. It recently said that it will be India’s only smartphone with an in-built cooling fan, designed for mobile gamers, creators and power users. It also said that the phone will feature a racing-inspired design and added that it will redefine the under Rs. 40,000 segment.
At the core of the K13 Turbo Series’ thermal solution is OPPO’s proprietary Storm Engine. This system integrates multiple components to manage heat dissipation. Key among these is a built-in, variable-speed fan, which provides active airflow—a feature not commonly found in smartphones.
The Storm Engine also incorporates an ultra-large 7000mm² vapor chamber (VC) to spread heat over a wider surface area and a specially designed duct system, which the company notes is smoke-visualization-ready for diagnostics and design.
According to the company, this cooling-first approach yields tangible benefits during demanding applications. Internal tests indicate that the K13 Turbo Series can maintain operating temperatures that are C lower during heavy gaming sessions, citing titles like BGMI as an example.
The main highlights of the device’s cooling technology include:

The K13 Turbo Pro will be powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC, and the company claims over 2.2 million AnTuTu scores. The phone will come in Silver Knight, Purple Phantom, and Midnight Maveric colours. Around the fan at the back, the phone will feature 2 mist shadow breathing LEDs, supporting 8 colours.
