vivo today launched the X200 FE, the company’s latest compact phone in the X200 series, in India. Here we have the unboxing and the first Impressions of the phone.

The vivo X200 FE sports a 6.31-inch 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED LTPO display with 1-120Hz refresh rate. The display is bright since it has up to 1800 nits outdoor brightness in HBM, and 5000 nits peak brightness, and the sunlight legibility is good as well. There is Gorilla Shield glass protection. The phone has 3840Hz PWM Dimming
It has a tiny punch-hole that houses the 50-megapixel autofocus camera. The earpiece is present on the top edge, and doubles up as a secondary speaker. The phone has an in-display optical fingerprint scanner. The bottom bezels are minimal.
The vivo X200 FE 5G is powered by Dimensity 9300+ chipset, compared to Dimensity 9400 in the X200 and the X200 Pro models. It has up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and supports 5G SA/NSA with several bands. It runs Android 15 with FuntouchOS 15 on top, and the company has promised 4 Android updates and 5 years of security update, similar to other phones in the X200 series.
The phone has a power button and volume rockers on the right side. The dual SIM slots, primary microphone, USB Type-C 2.0 port and the speaker grill are present on the bottom. The secondary microphone is present on the top, and the IR Blaster is present on the back of the camera deco. You can see the antenna bands on the sides of the phone.
The phone has triple rear cameras that include a 50-megapixel main camera with Sony IMX921 sensor, f/1.88 aperture, OIS, 8MP 106° ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture, an 50MP IMX882 3x periscope telephoto camera with f/2.65 aperture. There is ZEISS optics and Aura light.
It can record videos at 4k resolution at up to 60 fps from the front and rear cameras. OIS does a good job in stabilization. Check out some camera samples.
The phone has a matte finish on the glass back. We have the Luxe Black version and the phone also comes in Amber Yellow and Frost Blue colours. It comes with IP68 + IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. The phone is just 7.99mm thick and weighs 186 grams, even though it packs a huge 6500mAh battery compared to 5800mAh in the X200. The is also 90W wired fast charging, but it doesn’t have wireless charging.
Priced starting at Rs. 54,999 for the 12GB + 256GB model, the phone will be available from vivo India online store, Flipkart, Amazon.in, and offline stores from July 23rd. There are launch offers including Rs. 6000 bank discount.
