Samsung ChatON messenger now lets you translate between Hindi and English

Samsung updated their ChatON messenger app to version 3.5 for Android earlier this month that brought new features. At an event Samsung India has revealed that the ChatON 3.5 would also offer instant message translation between English and Hindi. It also supports 14 Indian languages and has Indianized Anicons or animated icons. It also detailed more feature aimed at Indian users.

Other features include, option to share files up to 1GB at a time, recall option to cancel messages sent to wrong person, real-time location sharing and more. The location sharing feature powered by the integration of Glympse application offers real-time location sharing with ChatON buddies for a specified period of time.

Regarding the new ChatON update, Tarun Mali, Director of Media Solutions Center-South West Asia, Samsung Electronics, said,

With ChatON version 3.5, we have simplified mobile instant messaging while adding innovative features. The app has been updated keeping in mind the needs of the young and socially connected users. One of the most exciting new features is message translation, which makes it possible for people speaking different languages chat with ease. Also the ability to use this platform to consume content from various genres like news, entertainment, games, health and others through multiple devices and platforms allows greater flexibility to users.

The ChatON Live Partners lets users subscribe to content from several service providers such as CriqHQ, eBay, Mini, Aajtak and more. This offers content related to News, Sports, Food, Education, Astrology, Entertainment and more. The update is already available for Android users and is expected to arrive for other platforms soon.
