Announced at the Gartner Symposium ITxpo 2013, this is aimed at both business and end user needs. This doesn’t require any IT experience, servers, or software, says BlackBerry. The company already launched BlackBerry Mobile Fusion, multi-platform Mobile Device Management (MDM) for BlackBerry , Android and iOS devices, and recently released BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 Version 10.1 for Business users.

Features of BlackBerry Cloud based mobility management service

  • Administrators can easily manage and secure smartphones and tablets.
  • Full device and app management for iOS, Android and BlackBerry devices
  • Define individual or group email, app, connectivity and security settings for devices within the simple to use admin console
  • Publish apps to catalogs on users’ devices
  • Identify and take action on devices that break pre-defined policies
  • Empower employees with a self-service user portal that also saves time and support costs

Closed beta testing for the new cloud-based EMM solution is currently underway. It is expected to be available to everyone by the end of November 2013. The Cloud service would be available as a single monthly subscription that covers both the license and technical suppor.
