Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab 3 211, the company’s latest 7-inch tablet in India back in July. We brought you the unboxing of the device last week, here we have the benchmarks of the tablet. It is powered by a dual-core Marvell PXA986 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz and Vivante GC1000 GPU. The last year’s Tab 2 was powered by a dual-core TI OMAP 4430 processor. Since this is a mid-range SoC, we can’t expect performance like the Exynos 4 Quad (4412) CPU present in the Note 8.0. Let’s check out how it performs when compared to ther other tablets in various synthetic benchmark tests.
The Quadrant scores are better than the Tab 2 310 and the Fonepad, but it couldn’t beat the Tegra 3-powered Nexus 7 or the Tab 3 311 powered by a 1.5 GHz dual core Exynos 4212 processor.
AnTuTu Benchmark 3.3
In the AnTuTu Benchmark 3.3, the Tab 3 211 beats the Tab 3 311 marginally.
Vellamo 2.0 HTML5
Again the Tab 3 211 tops the Vellamo 2 HTML5 browser benchmark, but the Tab 3 211 beats the Nexus 7 by few points.
Vellamo 2.0 Metal
Again the Tab 3 211 holds the same third spot even the Vellamo 2 CPU subsystem performance test.
Linpack Single Thread
The Tab 3 211 manged to clock around 38 MFLOPS, bit better than the Tab 2 310 linpack single thread benchmark.
The Tab 3 211 manged to clock around 64 MFLOPS, again slightly better than the Tab 2 310 in the linpack multi-thread benchmark.
The tablet managed to clock around 51.5 fps in the NenaMark 2 GPU benchmark.
GFXBench 2.7 T-Rex (On screen)
The Tab 3 211 managed to clock 5.5 fps in the GFXBench 2.7 T-Rex GPU benchmark, slightly better than the Nexus 7.
GFXBench 2.5 Egypt HD (On screen)
The Tab 3 211 tops the GFXBench 2.5 Egypt with 18 fpsm better than the Tab 3 311.
Basemark X HD (Onscreen)
It managed to clock around 4.5 and holds the last spot in the Basemark X HD OnScreen benchmark.
Basemark X HD (Offscreen)
The tablet managed to clock just 1.1 fps in the Basemark X Offscreen benchmark. We’ll bring you the complete review of the Tab 3 211 soon.
