The iPhone 5 is launching in India today. Airtel has announced their iPhone 5 plans for both the pre-paid and post-paid customers in India. The pricing for the iPhone 5 in India and the launch date was revealed last week. The iPhone 5 is priced at Rs.45,500 for the 16GB, Rs.52,500 for the 32GB and Rs. 59,500 for the 64GB version. Airtel started taking pre-orders for the iPhone 5 for the same price and is now available from their Airtel Shop.
Airtel offers plans with free local minutes, local and national SMS and 3G data. These plans start at Rs. 300, which might vary based on the circle.

Additional charges include, 60p/min for all mobiles, 90p/min for land-lines, SMS 40p/ SMS, Volume Based Charging for data 3p/30kb, you will not able to opt-in to any other data pack. Only the black version is available from Airtel though online right now.
