LG has announced the launch of its new AXE semi-automatic washing machines in India. The lineup includes 15 models with capacities ranging from 8 kg to 12 kg, covering different family sizes, laundry requirements and design preferences.
LG Semi-Automatic Washing Machines (2026)
The new LG AX Semi-Automatic Washing Machines address everyday laundry challenges such as detergent residue, lint, stubborn stains, slow drying and fragile lids. To handle detergent residue, the machines feature Dual Spin Shower, which uses two powerful water inlets to rinse clothes. The Roller Jet Pulsator+, inspired by a whale-tail design, creates dynamic water movement to improve cloth circulation and help remove stubborn dirt while caring for fabrics.
For washing and drying, the machines include the following features:
- Ultra Scrub Wall: Uses a special scrub pattern to tackle tough dirt on cuffs, collars and heavily soiled areas.
- New Smart Filter: Captures lint during the wash cycle and can be removed and cleaned, helping maintain wash quality.
- Wind Jet Dry+: Uses powerful airflow during spinning to remove excess moisture and help clothes dry faster.
- 3+1 wash programs: Provides different options for laundry requirements.
- Rat Away Technology: Provides protection and durability.
For the exterior, the LG AX Semi-Automatic Washing Machines feature a strong box-type body, bold Pattern and durable knobs. The available colour options include Onyx Black, Middle Black and Burgundy.
Select models also feature a Toughened Glass Lid with a soft-closing mechanism, which provides enhanced durability and quieter operation.
The new range is manufactured at LG’s Greater Noida facility, one of the company’s Industry 5.0-centric smart factories. The facility uses AI-enabled Smart Factory operations, automation, robotics and AGVs for high-precision production and efficient logistics.
LG said it carries out 100% quality checks, AI vision inspection and rigorous testing in NABL-accredited laboratories as part of its manufacturing process for enhanced operational efficiency.
Pricing and Availability
Exports of the AX Semi-Automatic Washing Machines are scheduled to begin in 2027, targeting over 10 countries globally, while pricing and retail availability details are expected to be announced closer to the rollout.
