KRAFTON India announces applications for KIGI Cohort 4, broadens eligibility criteria

KRAFTON India KIGI Cohort 4

KRAFTON India has opened applications for Cohort 4 of the KRAFTON India Gaming Incubator (KIGI), marking the latest iteration of its flagship initiative designed to support game development studios nationwide. First launched in 2023, the incubator provides selected developers with financial support, mentorship, and international industry exposure.

With the launch of Cohort 4, the program is modifying its selection criteria to accommodate titles at more advanced stages of development while maintaining its original commitment to early-stage developers and conceptual prototypes.

Expanded Scope for Maturing Titles

Unlike standard accelerator models focused strictly on team maturity, KIGI evaluates candidates based on project feasibility across different production phases. Cohort 4 introduces expanded qualifying parameters for studios with active projects:

  • Mobile Projects: Studios with titles currently in beta testing or soft launch phases are eligible to apply.
  • PC Projects: Developers with playable Steam demos demonstrating active community engagement will be considered.
  • Early-Stage Concepts: Early-phase teams and concept-stage ideas remain core to the cohort’s intake structure, consistent with previous cohorts.
Program Milestones and Prior Cohorts

The announcement follows measurable progression among studios supported in previous cycles:

  • Cohort 1: Multiple participating teams achieved targeted soft launches under program mentorship.
  • Cohort 2: Mumbai-based studio Singular Scheme released Frontier Paladin on Steam on April 24, 2026, marking the first PC commercial release to graduate from the incubator.
  • Cohort 3: Selected in April 2026 from an applicant pool of approximately 1,000 studios, the third cohort inducted four development teams:
    • Xod Games Studio
    • EvolX Games
    • Ether Games
    • RedDevil Studio
Application Process

Submissions for KIGI Cohort 4 is now open. Interested game developers and studios can review comprehensive submission guidelines and submit applications through KRAFTON India’s official portal.

Anuj Sahani, Head of KRAFTON India Incubator Program said:

Through the KRAFTON India Gaming Incubator, our aim has always been to back India’s most promising game developers with the resources and guidance needed to build globally competitive titles. With KIGI Cohort 4, we’re widening that support, continuing to nurture early ideas and first-time teams as we always have, while also standing behind games that are already further along in their journey, whether that’s a mobile title showing strong early traction or a title already earning recognition from players and the community. Our mission remains the same: to help talented teams from across the country navigate the path from concept to market, and build a stronger, more globally visible game development ecosystem in India.

Sean Hyunil Sohn, CEO of KRAFTON India said: “India is seeing strong momentum in game development, with more creators building for global audiences at every stage of their journey. Through KIGI, we aim to support this growth by meeting developers where they are backing bold new ideas as well as games that are already finding their footing and enabling studios with the right resources and guidance. KIGI Cohort 4 is another step toward our vision of India as a global creative force in gaming.”
