realme just launched the NARZO 100x 5G, the company’s latest smartphone in the NARZO series, as it had promised.
The device expands the brand’s Narzo lineup and emphasizes high battery capacity, structural resilience, and efficient core specifications.
Hardware Performance and Cooling
The NARZO 100x 5G is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G chipset. Built on a 6nm fabrication process, the configuration features two performance Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.4 GHz alongside six efficiency Cortex-A55 cores running at 2.0 GHz. Graphics processing is handled by a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.
To maintain temperature regulation under intensive workloads, the device incorporates a large 5,300 mm² vapor chamber cooling system. The device comes with up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM—expandable via dynamic RAM expansion technology—and up to 256GB of internal storage.
High-Capacity Battery and Charging
A central feature of the device is its massive 8,000mAh silicon-carbon battery. Realme claims the battery is optimized for longevity, capable of maintaining over 80% of its original capacity after four years of typical daily usage cycles.
- Charging Speed: The handset supports 45W Superfast Charging, which the manufacturer states can fill the battery from 0% to 50% in approximately 33 minutes.
- Thermals & Safety: The system features bypass charging capabilities and is designed to operate with a reduction in maximum charging temperatures.
- Power Sharing: The phone includes 13.5W reverse wired charging support, allowing it to act as a power supply for other external electronics.
Despite the substantial battery capacity, the overall profile of the device remains relatively thin, measuring 8.8mm in thickness and weighing 224 grams.
Display and Camera Architecture
On the front, the phone carries a 6.81-inch IPS LCD panel offering an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1570 pixels. The display features a 144Hz high refresh rate alongside a peak High Brightness Mode (HBM) value of 1,200 nits, protected by Panda glass.
The primary rear camera houses a 50-megapixel wide-angle sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and autofocus capabilities. The secondary optics are complemented by a standard dual-camera array. Up front, an 8-megapixel selfie camera is housed within the punch-hole.
Software and Durability Features
The smartphone ships running Realme UI 7.0, which is built on top of Android 16. It integrates systemic AI enhancements, including native Gemini Live support, AI Assistant for Notes, and AI Eraser utilities.
In terms of build resilience, the Narzo 100x 5G features an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance. The device is engineered with Realme’s “ArmorShell” structural chassis and holds a MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification for shock and drop protection. Additional design touches include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, an AI Pulse Light element for customized notifications, and dual stereo speakers.
