LG Electronics India has launched the new “xboom by will.i.am” audio collection in India. The launch is part of LG’s global collaboration with multi-platinum artist and technology entrepreneur will.i.am, who serves as the brand’s “Experiential Architect.” LG says will.i.am contributed to the tuning and design of the xboom lineup.
The debut lineup includes the LG xboom Bounce and LG xboom Grab. Both speakers feature AI-powered audio technologies, signature sound tuning, and speaker components developed in partnership with Danish transducer manufacturer Peerless.
LG xboom by will.i.am: Audio, design, and AI features
LG says all xboom by will.i.am products are tuned to deliver a balanced sound profile with warmer tones. The speakers feature compact designs developed in collaboration with will.i.am.
The xboom Bounce and xboom Grab include several AI-powered features:
- AI Sound, which analyzes audio content in real time and adjusts audio output based on the characteristics of the content being played.
- AI Calibration, which detects the listening environment and automatically optimizes sound output.
- AI Lighting, which synchronizes multicolor lighting effects with music playback.
Both speakers support LE Audio Auracast, allowing multiple xboom speakers to deliver synchronized audio playback. Users can also create synchronized audio setups using an xboom speaker as the master device, even if their smartphone does not support Auracast.
The speakers use built-in tweeters and full-range speaker units developed by Peerless, a Danish transducer manufacturer.
LG xboom Bounce
The xboom Bounce is the flagship model in the lineup. It features up-bouncing passive radiators that move and illuminate in sync with music playback.
The speaker is equipped with dual dome tweeters and a track-type woofer for stereo audio playback. A versatile strap allows the speaker to be carried by hand, hung from hooks, or placed on a tabletop.
