OnePlus Ace6 Ultra design revealed, coming this April

OnePlus has officially released the design specifications for its upcoming Ace 6 Ultra, introducing its new “Ace Awakening” design language, after the Ace6 and Ace 6T were introduced last year.

The newly unveiled details emphasize a balance between striking visual aesthetics and practical ergonomic improvements, focusing heavily on the device’s back panel layout, frame materials, and corner transitions.

Key Design Specifications

Based on the official teasers, the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra incorporates four primary design elements:

  • 3D Stereoscopic Lithography: The rear glass utilizes a specialized 3D lithography process to create a dynamic, traceable path of light across the back panel, enhancing the device’s visual depth and texture.
  • Metal Cube Deco: The camera module features a structured, flattened metal array. This design choice neatly organizes the camera hardware while precisely avoiding the user’s natural fingertip resting points, creating a clean and pronounced look.
  • Heat-Insulating Metal Frame: To improve user comfort during high-performance tasks, the device incorporates an innovative thermal insulation structure within the metal frame. This engineering choice is designed to block the spread of internal heat to the user’s hands.
  • Extra-Large R-Angles: The phone chassis features flagship-tier rounded corners (R-angles). These softer edges are implemented specifically to eliminate the common pain point of hand fatigue and discomfort during extended use.
Merging Aesthetics with Ergonomics

The “Ace Awakening” design philosophy indicates a clear focus on the user’s physical experience with the device. By combining dynamic light and shadow effects with functional chassis adjustments, OnePlus aims to deliver a highly cohesive smartphone design.

From the structured layout of the rear camera deco to the thermal management of the frame and the smooth transition of the corners, the Ace 6 Ultra is built around a singular objective: providing a device that is both visually refined and highly comfortable to grip.

Expected features

According to OnePlus China head Louis Jie, the phone will feature a 165Hz ultra-high refresh rate BOE screen, touted as meeting desktop e-sports display standards. Based on earlier reports, the Ace6 Ultra will feature a 6.78″ 1.5K+ 165Hz BOE screen, MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor, about 8500mAh battery and 100W fast charging support.
