OPPO India has officially disclosed the primary imaging capabilities and design characteristics of its upcoming F33 Series as the successor to last year’s F31 series. Slated for an exclusive launch in the Indian market on April 15, 2026, the new mid-range smartphone emphasizes a wide-angle front-facing camera system and introduces a novel unibody manufacturing process to the segment.
Imaging Hardware and Specifications
A major focus of the F33 Series is its front-facing camera, which is designed to capture a wider area for group photographs.
| Feature | Specification Details |
| Front Camera | 50MP Ultra-Wide |
| Sensor (Front) | GC50F6 |
| Field of View (FOV) | 100° |
| Aperture & Focal Length | f/2.0, 18mm |
| Rear Main Camera | 50MP with OV50D40 sensor |
| Rear Secondary Camera | 2MP depth sensor (for artificial bokeh) |
According to OPPO, the 100° FOV front camera captures approximately 30% more area at a one-meter distance compared to standard front-facing cameras, reducing the likelihood of subjects being cropped out of the frame.
Software and Camera Features
To support the hardware, OPPO is introducing several software-driven imaging features:
- AI Groupfie Expert: This system includes an Auto-Switch function that automatically transitions the camera to a 0.6x wide angle when more than two people enter the frame. It also utilizes a face distortion correction algorithm capable of adjusting up to six faces simultaneously to maintain natural proportions at the edges of the image.
- AI Portrait Glow: Debuting on the F Series, this feature analyzes real-time environmental lighting and applies one of four automated styles: Natural Light, Flashlight, Rim Light, or Studio Light.
- Colourful Front Fill Light: Diverging from standard white flashes, this system utilizes soft, adjustable, multi-colored lighting intended to complement natural skin tones in low-light environments.
- Popout: An in-camera feature that allows users to create layered compositions from multiple photos or motion shots, giving subjects a 3D effect without requiring third-party editing software.
- Dual-View Video: Enables simultaneous recording from both the front and rear cameras, outputting the feeds into a single, combined video file.
Design Identity and Build Materials
The OPPO F33 Series introduces a physical redesign, moving away from previous iterations in both aesthetics and construction.
The rear camera array features a newly designed “Starry Sea Lens Module.” It consists of a large, flush, rounded-rectangular island that houses two circular lenses in a vertical stack, accompanied by a ring-flash element.
The device features a 6.57-inch flat display and weighs 194g. The chassis utilizes a “One-Piece Cold Carving” build.
- Back Cover: Constructed from a single 1.5mm polymer sheet—a composite of acrylic and polycarbonate. This is noted to be three times thicker than standard injection-molded covers, aimed at improving drop resistance.
- Manufacturing Process: The F33 Pro uses integrated cold sculpting technology. A 40,000 RPM high-speed CNC machine carves the camera platform to create a seamless, high-gloss finish, while the surrounding back panel features a contrasting matte texture. The device is finished with a hard coating (HC) for enhanced wear resistance.
Color Variants

The device will be available in three distinct finishes:
- Misty Forest: The signature colorway featuring an industry-first “Dynamic 3D Depth” layered coating. It utilizes transfer printing to place pine tree silhouettes directly onto the hardening layer, creating a visual depth effect that shifts depending on the viewing angle.
- Starry Blue: A standard finish with a subtle shine and clean tones.
- Passion Red: A high-energy variant featuring a reflective, metallic finish.
We should know all the details about the OPPO F33 series when it goes official next week.
