motorola edge 70 fusion Unboxing and First Impressions


motorola launched the edge 70 fusion smartphone as the successor to last year’s edge 60 fusion in India today. This has a 7.99mm sleek design, faster Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC, yet packs a huge 7000mAh battery. Here we have the first impressions of the phone.

Starting with the screen, the edge 70 fusion has a familiar 6.78-inch 1.5K quad-curved AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, and the peak brightness is 5200 nits. The screen has Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection.

The phone retains the 32MP camera on the front with up to 4K video recording. The earpiece works as the secondary speaker. It has an in-display optical fingerprint scanner. The bezels are minimal.

The phone has a 7.99mm sleek design. Even though it has a plastic build, the matte finish looks premium and is solid to hold. The volume rockers and the power button are present on the right side. The dual SIM slot, USB Type-C port, and speaker grill are present on the bottom. The secondary microphone is on the top, along with Dolby Atmos branding.

Powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 4s, which is a good upgrade compared to Dimensity 7400 in the edge 60 fusion, the phone comes in 8GB / 12GB RAM versions and has 128GB / 256GB storage.

The phone runs Android 16 out of the box and will get 3 Android OS updates and 4 years of security updates. It has moto AI 2.0 features such as Next Move, AI Image Studio, Sketch to Image, Style Sync, Text to Sticker, Catch Me Up 2.0, Pay Attention live transcriptions, AI Playlist Studio, Global Search, Auto Screenshot Blur, This On That, Remember This and Recall act.

It has a 50MP main camera with LYTIA 710 sensor and a 13MP ultra-wide camera with support for macro. There is 4K 60fps video recording. Check out some camera samples.

It has IP68 + IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance and has military-grade durability. It has a textured fabric finish on the back that feels smooth to touch and doesn’t get fingerprints.

In addition to PANTONE Blue Surf, the phone also comes in PANTONE Country Air and PANTONE Silhouette colours. Even with a sleek design, the phone packs a 7000mAh battery compared to the 5200mAh global model. There is 68W TurboPower fast charging.

Priced starting at Rs. 26,999, the phone will be available for Rs. 24,999 with the bank offer from March 11th across Flipkart, motorola.in and offline stores.
