realme has officially unveiled its latest addition to the mid-range smartphone market, the realme 16 Pro Series, as it had promised. The lineup includes two models: the flagship-tier realme 16 Pro+ and the realme 16 Pro. The series emphasizes portrait photography capabilities, a new “Urban Wild” design language, and significant battery capacity upgrades.
Camera Systems and Imaging
Both devices in the series market themselves heavily on portrait capabilities, utilizing a 200MP LumaColor Camera as the primary sensor.
- realme 16 Pro+: This model features a 3.5× periscope telephoto lens. It supports a range of zoom capabilities, including 7× close-ups and digital zoom up to 120×. It also includes 4K FullFocal HDR Video recording.
- realme 16 Pro: While it shares the main 200MP sensor, it relies on a “Golden Portrait Lens Kit” for focal length switching rather than the periscope lens found on the Plus model.
Software Integration
Both models run on advanced imaging software aimed at social media content creation:
- Vibe Master Mode: Offers 21 customized tones and 5 signature portrait styles.
- AI Edit Genie: Allows users to edit photos via voice or text commands, capable of changing backgrounds while maintaining facial consistency.

Design and Durability
The series introduces the “Urban Wild Design” philosophy, a collaboration with designer Naoto Fukasawa.
