realme just launched the C85 5G, the company’s latest budget 5G smartphone in the C series in India, as it had promised. It has a 6.8-inch HD+ 144Hz LCD screen with up to 1200 nits peak brightness, is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC with 5300+ mm² VC cooling, 8GB of RAM + up to 10GB Dynamic RAM with RAM expansion.
The phone runs realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15. It has a 50MP rear camera and features AI edit genie. The C85 5G has IP69 Pro dust and water resistance, has been tested for 6 meters of Maximum Submersion Depth (30 Minutes), comes with protection against 36 types of liquids, and the phone can withstand up to 85° C, military-grade durability (MIL-STD 810H certification) so it can survive 2m drops.
The realme C85 5G also marks a major milestone for the brand by achieving a Guinness World Records title for “Most people performing a mobile phone water resistance test,” highlighting the device’s durability, said the company.
It packs a 7000mAh battery that promises up to 2 days of use, has 45W fast charging, and 6.5W reverse wired charging. The phone has a single bottom-ported speaker, but has 400% ultra volume.
