London-based consumer tech brand, Nothing, today announced the winner of its Nothing Incubator program in India. The competition, which aimed to tap into the country’s brightest young minds under the theme “Making Tech Fun Again,” concluded with Team Connection from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Pune taking the top honors.
Team Connection, comprising SIBM Pune students Atmarani Mohanty, Abhishek Chauhan, and Riya Garg, secured the win with their innovative concept focused on enhancing STEM learning through augmented reality (AR). Their proposal outlined a plan to transform traditional textbooks into interactive, vernacular learning experiences for students.
The winning submission was praised by the jury for its clarity and a precise identification of existing educational pain points. The team successfully demonstrated a deep understanding of how to blend cutting-edge technology with practical and engaging applications in the learning environment.
Akis Evangelidis, Co-founder and India President of Nothing, commented on the conclusion of the program, stating:
The Nothing Incubator program reaffirmed what we’ve always believed – India is a powerhouse of creative, unfiltered talent. We received an incredible response, with so many bold and original ideas coming in from students across the country. Team Connection’s idea perfectly embodied the spirit of the challenge – it was bold, addressed a real-world problem, and made learning fun again through smart use of augmented reality. We’re proud to see students not just dreaming big, but designing ideas that can truly make tech fun again.
