
Meta-owned Instagram has introduced a new feature for Teen Accounts, allowing users to personalize their app icon with six distinct aesthetic themes.
Six Custom App Icons for Teen Accounts
These designs—fire, floral, chrome, cosmic, and slime—were created in collaboration with illustrator @doncarrrlos (Carlos Oliveras Colom) and Instagram’s design team.

The update allows teens to customize their Instagram app icon, providing a way to express personal style while staying focused on connections and content. The icons are exclusively available for Teen Accounts.
Access and Availability
Teen Account users can unlock the new icons by tapping the “Instagram” logo at the top of their home screen. The feature is available starting today.
Following the introduction of Diwali-themed effects in Stories and the Edits app, Instagram’s new Teen Account icons highlight the company’s focus on providing users with creative ways to personalize their experience and engage more actively with the platform.

Speaking on the update, illustrator Carlos Oliveras Colom said:
I’m honored that I was trusted to bring some fun to life. If I were a teen I’d change that icon every day, either to express what I’m feeling or the vibes I’m setting for the day.
