OPPO just introduced the company’s flagship Find X9 and Find X9 Pro smartphones at an event in China, as it had promised. Both the phones are powered by the latest MediaTek Dimensity 9500 SoC with up to 16GB of RAM, and feature ultra-large-area VC cooling
The Find X9 comes in Silk White, Titanium Grey, and Velvet Red colours and the Find X9 comes in these colours along with Space Black. All models feature a refined matte glass finish and matte aluminum frame.
Display
The Find X9 features a 6.59-inch 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED flat screen from Tianma with ultra-narrow 1.15mm bezels on all the sides, rounded corners and an ultra-thin camera module and the X9 Pro has a 6.78-inch 1.5K 120Hz LTPO micro-curved AMOLED screen with similar 1.15mm ultra-narrow bezels. These feature OPPO Crystal Shield glass protection on the front and the back.
Camera
In terms of imaging, the Find X9 standard version uses a 32MP Sony sensor on the front, a 50MP main camera, Sony LYT-808 sensor on the rear + 50MP ultra-wide-angle + 50MP periscope telephoto camera with Sony LYT-600 sensor along with multi-spectral lens. The Pro model has a 50MP Samsung sensor on the front, a 50MP main camera, Sony LYT828 sensor on the rear + 50MP ultra-wide-angle + 200MP periscope telephoto camera with Samsung HP5 sensor along with multi-spectral lens.
A new LUMO super pixel engine will use parallel heterogeneous computing to directly output high-quality images.
The Find X9 series also introduces significant upgrades to its video capabilities:
- 4K 120fps Dolby Vision HDR: This feature allows for the creation of smooth, 5x slow-motion footage while incorporating portrait skin tone protection.
- 4K 120fps 10-bit Log: For professional workflows, the series offers ACES-certified 10-bit Log recording with Rec.709 color monitoring.
- Hasselblad Master Tones: This feature integrates Hasselblad’s distinct color styles directly into the Log recording pipeline, providing more creative control for videographers.
OPPO Find X9 Pro Hasselblad teleconverter kit
The company has also introduced Hasselblad professional imaging kit/teleconverter kit for the Find X9 Pro. The imaging kit includes a professional magnetic protective case, a Hasselblad professional teleconverter, a professional magnetic photography handle, a professional mobile phone shoulder strap, a bracket, an adapter ring and other products, which will be sold in limited quantities on October 22nd.
The teleconverter kit does not include professional magnetic photography handles, professional mobile phone shoulder straps and other products, and will be sold in limited quantities in November.
With the Hasselblad professional teleconverter installed, the phone’s telephoto lens can be extended to a super-telephoto equivalent of 230mm with a large f/2.1 aperture. This allows for up to 4K 60fps HDR super-telephoto video recording, while also supporting intelligent stage performances. Furthermore, this product supports super-telephoto Live Photos, allowing users to directly output Live Photos during video recording, with up to 4K quality.
The lens utilizes a Kepler lens structure, featuring 13 all-glass spherical lens elements in three groups and three extra-low dispersion glass elements, effectively eliminating phase and chromatic aberrations for a truer image. Nine layers of PVD low-reflection coating reduce backlight glare, maintaining the wide aperture of the phone’s telephoto lens and efficiently allowing for maximum light intake. The lens body features an all-metal, anodized finish, delicately accentuated by the Hasselblad logo, and comes with a unique Hasselblad lens cap design.
The Find X9 has a built-in 7025mAh OPPO’s self-developed fourth-generation silicon-carbon battery with 80W fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and 5W wireless reverse charging, and the Pro model has a built-in 7500mAh battery with similar charging features. Both these have IP66 & IP68 & IP69 dust and water resistance ratings, ultra-linear dual speakers, four microphones, triple Wi-Fi antenna system, X-axis linear motor, and run ColorOS 16 based on Android 16 out of the box.
