OPPO Find X9 Series first to be powered by Dimensity 9500 globally; India launch in November

At the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025, OPPO and MediaTek revealed a strategic collaboration to introduce the new MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset in the upcoming OPPO Find X9 Series.

This partnership will make the Find X9 the first smartphone lineup globally to be powered by MediaTek’s latest flagship System-on-Chip (SoC). The announcement highlighted the companies’ focus on advancing on-device AI, energy efficiency, and mobile imaging.

MediaTek Dimensity 9500

The MediaTek Dimensity 9500 features a third-generation All-Big-Core CPU architecture, which includes one 4.21GHz ultra-core, three premium cores, and four performance cores.

According to the announcement, this configuration provides up to a 32% increase in single-core and a 17% increase in multi-core performance compared to the previous generation, while reportedly reducing peak power consumption by up to 55%.

For graphics, the chipset is equipped with the Arm G1-Ultra GPU, which is stated to deliver up to 33% higher graphics performance and 42% better power efficiency, enabling console-grade ray tracing capabilities.

OPPO noted that the Find X9 Series will incorporate a customized cooling system to maintain performance during graphically intensive tasks like high-frame-rate gaming.

During a media briefing, MediaTek showcased the Dimensity 9500’s AI and imaging capabilities with several demonstrations. These included real-time image-to-image AI rendering, 4K text-to-image generation, and advanced graphics utilizing Unreal Engine technologies such as Mega Light and Nanite, aimed at producing console-level visual realism on mobile devices.
