realme just launched the realme 15 Pro 5G Game of Thrones Limited Edition smartphone in India and global markets, as it had promised. This collector’s edition device created in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products to bring fans a smartphone inspired by HBO’s hit series Game of Thrones is heavily themed around the popular series, with a particular focus on House Targaryen.
Design and Aesthetics
The phone features a “Golden-in-Black Design” with a prominent Targaryen sigil on the back panel, crafted with 0.01mm detailing for a precise, luxurious feel. A key feature is its “Born in Fire” heat-sensitive, color-changing back cover. According to the company, the color of the back panel shifts from black to a deep Targaryen red when its temperature rises above 44°C, creating a “color-changing design of Dragonfire.” Realme notes that this color-changing effect may diminish over time.
The design is inspired by House Targaryen, featuring their three-headed dragon sigil prominently. The words “FIRE AND BLOOD” are also subtly integrated into the phone’s design, near the camera module. The device’s overall aesthetic is intended to evoke royalty and power.
User Experience and Customization
The realme 15 Pro Game of Thrones Edition also comes with a customized user interface (UI). Users can choose between striking “Ice” or “Fire” themes, each crafted with exclusive UI elements that bring Westeros to life. The “Ice Theme” is described as a “Glimmer with Winter Snow,” while the “Fire Theme” encourages users to “Dance with Dragonfire.”
These themes are deeply customized and full of surprises. Furthermore, a “Northland Filter” allows users to capture photos with the frozen beauty inspired by Winterfell, and a “Kingdom Filter” bathes photos in the golden glory of King’s Landing.
The AI Edit Genie introduces custom Game of Thrones-themed features, allowing users to generate medieval-style outfit changes with a single editing command.
Collector’s Edition Packaging and Extras
The limited edition comes in a specially designed collector’s box, described as a “pact forged in Dragonfire, inspired by Westeros.” The box itself is crafted from solid wood with carved metal accents and features the sigils of the nine major houses of Westeros. Upon opening the box, an Iron Throne rises from within.
The package includes a “Hand of the King” SIM ejector tool and “Mysterious Letters” that reveal hidden secrets when exposed to sunlight. For loyal fans, a full set of postcards and sigil stickers are also included. Finally, the collection features “Realmow Game of Thrones Edition” figures inspired by characters like Daenerys, Tyrion, and Jon Snow.
