Ahead of the official launch event on October 16, Zhou Yibao, head of OPPO’s Find series products, has provided an early look at the imaging technology set to debut in the OPPO Find X9 series. The company is positioning the new lineup as a “mobile imaging quality revolution,” highlighting significant advancements across hardware and software.
Core Imaging Technologies
OPPO detailed five key pillars of its new imaging system:
- Optical Technology: The series will incorporate AOA active optical alignment, a technology designed to improve optical resolution.
- Color Technology: It features the fourth-generation Danxia Color Reproduction Lens, aimed at delivering superior color accuracy in both photos and videos.
- Photosensitive Technology: The Find X9 will utilize a LYT-828 sensor with instantaneous triple exposure capabilities for enhanced light capture.
- Algorithm Technology: A new LUMO super pixel engine will use parallel heterogeneous computing to directly output high-quality images.
- Chip Technology: The phones will debut the OPPO Chip Chain, which is built to leverage the computing power of 3nm process technology.
Ultra-Clear Picture Quality Features
The new technology enables three primary high-quality imaging experiences:
- Hasselblad True 200MP: The series will offer a direct-to-image 200-megapixel mode, promising a 16x improvement in resolution, combined with Hasselblad’s natural color science and ProXDR display technology.
- Full-Focal-Range 8K Photos: All devices in the series will support “Hasselblad 8K Ultra HD Photos” across their entire zoom range, providing a 4x resolution improvement.
- 4K Live Photos: The Find X9 will be the world’s first to directly output “4K Ultra-HD Live Photos,” featuring a full-link sharing and display integration with the social media platform Xiaohongshu.
Expanded Hasselblad Collaboration
OPPO’s partnership with Hasselblad has been upgraded across several areas:
- Joint Optical Development: The collaboration has resulted in a Hasselblad ultra-clear quad-camera system and a Hasselblad 200MP ultra-clear lens.
- Professional Accessories: New co-developed accessories will be available, including the OPPO Hasselblad Professional Imaging Kit and the OPPO Hasselblad Professional Teleconverter.
- Enhanced Software Experience: The software suite sees an upgrade with a new generation of the popular XPAN mode and the introduction of a new Hasselblad Master mode.
