Acer Iconia X12, X14, A14 and A16 tablets announced


At the next@acer global press conference during IFA, Acer announced an expansion of its consumer product portfolio, including new additions to its Iconia X and Iconia A series tablets. The new tablets are designed to balance productivity and entertainment with a range of features, including AI-enabled capabilities.

Acer Iconia X Series Tablets

The new Iconia X series tablets are powered by Android and feature vivid displays and AI-enhanced features.

Acer Iconia X12 The Acer Iconia X12 (X12-21M) features a 12.6-inch WQXGA (2560×1600) AMOLED display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 400 nits of peak brightness, and a 60 Hz refresh rate. The device weighs 500 g and has a matte black finish. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 processor with 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB of expandable storage, and offers up to 16 hours of battery life.

For photography and video, the tablet includes a 13 MP rear camera with flash and a 5 MP front camera. It also features quad stereo speakers, dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and a USB PD 2.0 Type-C port. Optional accessories for the Iconia X12 include a stylus, a detachable keyboard, and a magnetic kickstand.

Acer Iconia X14 The Acer Iconia X14 (X14-M1N) is equipped with a 14-inch FHD (1200×1920) OLED display with a ZeroFrame design. It runs on a processor with a built-in NPU, paired with up to 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The device integrates several new AI features:

  • AI Smart Sensing: Enables gesture-based control and provides posture tips.
  • AI Super Resolution: Automatically upscales video quality.
  • Smile Camera: Snaps photos when a smile or an “OK” gesture is detected.

The tablet has an 8 MP rear camera with flash and a 5 MP front camera. It offers up to 10 hours of battery life and supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and a USB Type-C 2.0 port. The device has an Iron Gray chassis with a built-in kickstand.

Acer Iconia A Series Tablets

The Iconia A16 (A16-M1N) and Iconia A14 (A14-M1N) join the new lineup, designed for both work and media consumption. Both tablets run on Android 15 and come with up to 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256 GB of expandable UFS 3.1 storage.

Powered by processors with built-in NPUs, these tablets include the same AI capabilities as the Iconia X14: AI Smart Sensing, AI Super Resolution, and Smile Camera. The devices feature 16- and 14-inch FHD (1200×1920) IPS displays with ZeroFrame designs and wide viewing angles.

They also include a tripod-style kickstand, an 8 MP rear camera with flash, and a 5 MP front camera. Both models offer up to 10 hours of battery life and support dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4.

All new Iconia X and Iconia A series tablets also feature Acer Screen Casting, which allows them to be used as a wireless display for laptops via Wi-Fi.

  • The Acer Iconia X14 (X14-M1N) will be available in North America in November, starting at USD 350 (Rs. 30,820 approx.); in EMEA in November, starting at EUR 310; and in Australia in November, starting at AUD 530.
