HONOR Magic V Flip2 with 6.82″ FHD+ 21:9 foldable and 4″ 120Hz LTPO OLED external displays, 200MP camera, 5500mAh battery announced

HONOR just introduced the HONOR Magic V Flip2, the company’s latest flip phone, at an event in China, as it had promised.  The phone has a 6.82-inch FHD+ 1-120Hz LTPO OLED screen with up to 5000 nits peak brightness, 4320Hz high-frequency PWM dimming and features AI Super Dynamic Display, AI True Color Display, Dolby Vision, and ZREAL Frame Enjoy HD certification..

Cover Screen and User Interaction

The phone has a 4-inch 0.1-120Hz LTPO OLED external screen with noarrow external screen border, up to 3600 nits peak brightness and 3840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.

The Magic V Flip2’s cover screen has new interactive features, including a personalized theme with nine animated pets that respond to air gestures. Tapping the screen allows for further interaction with the digital pets. The cover screen also includes several AI-powered features, such as one-click Smart Reply, AI Interpreter, and Magic Capsule.

The phone is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC with up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB storage. There is RF Enhancement Chip C1+ and the Energy Efficiency Enhancement Chip E2.

Camera

There is a 200MP main camera with EIS+OIS, along with a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP front camera. The camera system also integrates the AI HONOR Image Engine, which includes AI Super Zoom for 30x telephoto shooting and a range of AI Edit features like AI Passers-by Eraser, AI Cutout, and AI Upscale.

Fashion-Forward Design and Durability

HONOR continued its collaboration with fashion designer Professor Jimmy Choo Yeang Keat OBE for the design of the Magic V Flip2. The limited edition model is inspired by the look of crystals, while the other colorways—purple, white, and grey—are also informed by his design philosophy. The phone can be used with a leather sling or pearl strap, positioning it as a fashion accessory.

For durability, the device features a 50μm UTG coating and an aerospace-grade titanium alloy hinge, which helps create a nearly flat inner screen when unfolded. The phone has an IP58 and IP59 water and dust resistance rating and is SGS Premium Certified for drop protection. It is equipped with a 5500mAh Silicon-carbon Battery, which HONOR claims provides significant power endurance for a flip phone.
