Samsung Galaxy S26 Pro and S26 Edge battery details surface

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 lineup, expected early next year, is rumored to include three models: Galaxy S26 Pro, Galaxy S26 Edge, and Galaxy S26 Ultra, according to multiple leaks.

Notably, the standard Galaxy S26 model might be dropped in favor of introducing a Pro variant. This change could be driven by the Galaxy S25 Edge’s relatively weak sales, prompting Samsung to rethink its flagship strategy and product lineup.

Galaxy S26 Series Battery Specs (Rumors)

Battery details for the Galaxy S26 series have been shared by GalaxyClub:

  • The Galaxy S26 Pro (codename M1, model SM-S942) is expected to have a rated battery capacity of 4175 mAh, with a typical capacity of 4300 mAh, matching the Galaxy Z Flip 7.
  • The Galaxy S26 Edge (codename M2, model SM-S947) will likely include a slightly smaller rated battery of 4078 mAh, or a typical capacity of 4200 mAh. This is significantly higher than the Galaxy S25 Edge’s 3786 mAh battery capacity.
  • The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to keep its 5000 mAh battery with support for 60W fast charging, similar to its predecessor.

Interestingly, the Pro model reportedly has a larger battery than the Edge, which may suggest differences in device size or internal design despite the naming order.

Launch Timeline

The Galaxy S26 series is expected to launch around January 2026. More leaks and official details are likely to appear in the coming months. As with all rumors, this information should be treated cautiously until confirmed by Samsung.
